description En esta investigación conocemos la realidad problemática de la localidad de Otuzco y analizamos la situación para hallar una alternativa de solución para el abastecimiento de agua potable y alcantarillado. Se llego a la conclusión que las localidades necesitaban un mejoramiento de todas las redes hidráulicas. Primero se llevó a cabo un recorrido del terreno de manera visual, se hizo un levantamiento topográfico y un reconocimiento de la zona para que de esta forma se pueda obtener información sobre la superficie del terreno Luego se desarrolló un estudio de mecánica de suelos para realizar 2 pruebas de laboratorio: percolación y granulometría, lo cual nos ayuda este tipo de ensayos para conocer las características físicas y geológicas. Se realizo el estudio de la tasa de crecimiento poblacional con los diferentes métodos existentes de habitantes para un periodo de 20 años y se efectuó todos los cálculos necesarios para poder analizarlos y obtener conclusiones de cada objetivo del estudio

It was concluded that the localities needed an improvement of all hydraulic networks. First, a visual tour of the land was carried out, a topographic survey and a recognition of the area were carried out so that information on the surface of the land could be obtained. Then a soil mechanics study was developed to carry out 2 laboratory tests: percolation and granulometry, which helps us with this type of tests to know the physical and geological characteristics.
