Para ello se consideró como enunciado del problema ¿De qué manera la aplicación de un sistema de gestión de almacenes puede mejorar la productividad en la empresa Chimú Agropecuaria S.A.? Y la hipótesis planteada fue: Un sistema de gestión de almacenes en el almacén central de la empresa Chimú Agropecuaria S.A. permitirá mejorar la productividad. Se utilizó el diseño descriptivo no experimental de corte transversal, empleando como técnicas de recolección de datos las guías de observación y encuestas las que nos ayudó a determinar las deficiencias en la actual gestión de almacenes. Se considero como población y muestra al almacén central de la empresa Chimú Agropecuaria S.A. Los resultados de la investigación han permitido determinar que implementando una gestión de almacenes adecuada, considerando aspectos de diseño de almacenes (Layout), sistemas de almacenamiento, los sistemas de almacenaje y el diseño de la gestión de movimientos e información en el almacén ayudara a mejorar la productividad del almacén central de la empresa Chimú Agropecuaria S.A. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se plantearon recomendaciones que ayuden a automatizar la gestión de almacenes evitando errores que pueda causar el ser humano y agilizando tramites burocráticos.

How can the application of a warehouse management system improve the productivity of the company Chimú Agropecuaria S.A.? And the hypothesis was: A warehouse management system in the central warehouse of the company Chimú Agropecuaria S.A. Will improve productivity. Descriptive non-experimental cross-sectional design was used, using as data collection techniques the observation guides and surveys that helped us to determine the deficiencies in the current warehouse management.
