Se empleó la prueba estadística U Mann-Whitney y KrusKal- Wallis con un nivel de confianza de 95%. Resultados: El nivel educativo, nivel socioeconómico, y la institución educativa son factores influyen en el nivel de conocimiento (p<0.05) y el factor sexo no influye. El nivel de conocimiento sobre hábitos de higiene bucal de los padres de escolares predominó el nivel “bueno”, según sexo presentaron el 36.44% en mujeres, en cuanto a nivel educativo el 42.86% cuentan con superior universitaria, respecto al nivel socioeconómico el 51.69% perteneciente al nivel bajo inferior y según el tipo de instituciones el 42.57%” siendo una institución pública. Conclusión: El nivel educativo, nivel socioeconómico y tipo de institución si son factores que influyen en el nivel de conocimiento de los padres de escolares. El sexo, nivel educativo, nivel socioeconómico, tipo de institución obtuvieron un nivel de conocimiento bueno.

Trujillo-2022. Materials and Methods: This study was descriptive and cross-sectional. 287 parents from two educational institutions were evaluated, to whom a virtual questionnaire was applied. The Mann-Whitney U and KrusKal-Wallis statistical test was used with a confidence level of 95%. Results: The educational level, socioeconomic level, and educational institution are factors that influence the level of knowledge (p<0.05) and the sex factor does not influence. The level of knowledge about oral hygiene habits of parents of schoolchildren predominated at the “good” level, according to sex it was 36.43% in women, in terms of educational level 42.85% have a university degree, with respect to socioeconomic level 43.33% belonging to the lower low level and according to the type of institutions, 42.57%” being a state institution.
