description El presente trabajo de investigación es una propuesta de diseño de un centro comunitario para el desarrollo de jóvenes en el distrito veintiséis de octubre, debido al alto índice de criminalidad que se encuentra en esta zona, bajo desarrollo socio cultural, baja calidad de espacios urbanos y a la falta de infraestructura que existe en el distrito. Esta propuesta permite integrar a los jóvenes que carecen de oportunidades de actividades sociales, recreativas y formativas dándoles las fuentes necesarias para desarrollar y adquirir conocimientos. A partir de la problemática de escases en equipamientos sociales y urbanos, se buscar darle a la comunidad un espacio donde puedan desarrollar sus actividades. Se busca darle trascendencia a la educación para personas con dificultades económicas generadas a través de un volumen arquitectónico cualificado de espacios necesarios y funcionales que permitan a través de la arquitectura romper la segregación social del sector respondiendo a la necesidad del lugar acoplándose con su entorno y respetando su historia. Por tanto, se espera lograr un diseño arquitectónico que satisfaga las necesidades de los jóvenes, teniendo en cuenta que una buena infraestructura y la buena gestión crean motivación en los jóvenes para seguir desarrollándose.
