Resultados: La frecuencia de preeclampsia en las gestantes con índice de pulsatilidad elevado fue de 72% y con índice de pulsatilidad no elevado fue de 12%. Los valores de sensibilidad, especificidad, valor predictivo positivo y negativo del índice de pulsatilidad en la predicción de preeclampsia fueron de: 68%, 90%, 72% y 88% respectivamente. El promedio del índice de pulsatilidad en los grupos con y sin preeclampsia fueron de 1.92 y 1.24. Conclusión: El índice de pulsatilidad por ecografía doppler en arteria uterina tiene valor como predictor de preeclampsia.
