La muestra en estudio se obtuvo de pacientes atendidos en el servicio de Cardiología del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray y Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo, estableciéndose una población de 270 historias clínicas de pacientes que constituyeron el grupo de casos y 292 historias clínicas de pacientes que fueron investigadas y constituyeron el grupo de controles. El procesamiento de la información se basó en un análisis bivariado, multivariado y regresión logística. RESULTADOS: nuestro estudio muestra una edad media de 65,7+ 13,79 años para pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo y 64,6 + 15,97 años para los controles. Tras el análisis multivariado se determinó que los grupos sanguíneos A y B, el género masculino, la hipertensión, la diabetes mellitus y l a dislipidemia tuvieron diferencia estadística altamente significativa (p<0,05). CONCLUSIONES: Los grupos sanguíneos A y B están asociados al desarrollo del síndrome coronario agudo. El género masculino, la hipertensión arterial, la diabetes mellitus y la dislipidemia se asocian con el síndrome coronario agudo. |

MATERIAL AND METHODS: an observational, analytical, case-control and multicentre retrospective study was conducted. The sample under study was obtained from patients treated at the Cardiology service of the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital and the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo, establishing a population of 270 patient clinical records that constituted the group of cases and 292 clinical histories of patients that were investigated. and constituted the control group. The processing of the information was based on a bivariate, multivariate analysis and logistic regression. RESULTS: our study shows an average age of 65.7 + 13.79 years for patients with acute coronary syndrome and 64.6 + 15.97 years for controls. After the multivariate analysis it was determined that blood groups A and B, male gender, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia had a highly significant statistical difference (p<0,05). CONCLUSIONS: Blood groups A and B are associated with the development of acute coronary syndrome.
