Se realizó una investigación del tipo Aplicada- Experimental, por lo que, para el cumplimiento de los objetivos de la presente, se evaluó el material granular, el cemento portland y la combinación de estas de acuerdo a la NTP y el MTC, mediante ensayos de laboratorio y la realización del diseño del pavimento flexible mediante el Método AASHTO1993. Al adicionar cemento Portland a la sub rasante en porcentajes de 2%,4% y 6% se observó que notablemente aumentó el índice CBR en ella y complementando con una adición de 3% en el material de base el espesor de la estructura del pavimento pudo optimizarse hasta en un 50% en el espesor estructural de este pavimento.
