The following research aims to make easy the academic work through the use of electronic portfolio; along the research process the most appropriate tool for collaborative learning characteristics has consolidated. The electronic portfolio is a set of essential resources to dabble in virtual learning environments. Making easy the academic work in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Systems through electronic portfolio, knowing the theoretical aspects and the available technologies that exist today is required also knowing the collabotative approach that integrates into a form of non –face teaching. The research has developed a prototype portfolio using RUP and UML notation, has been implementing a web solution with minimal design and engaging to most current HTML. For our study we have chosen a sample of 50 students and 20 teachers, basically to run a pre - experiment with the use of e- portfolio in relation to the facilities granted in academic work. And the results have yielded statistical evidence showing that the portfolio did significantly facilitates academic work
