The teaching and learning of reading and writing is a subject of extensive debate in the fields of psychology, pedagogy, language teaching and among many other sciences, which currently are in charge of this issue throughout the world; to teach and learn different languages is complex and has not yet found the total solution for reading and writing in primary education, in that sense this research was the objective determine the influence of individual and social factors on skills of reading - writing children in first grade of lE No. 00659 "Francisco Tejada Rojas • Moyabamba with a kind of substantive research, with a level of correlational descriptive research applied to a population of 23 students in the first grade of primary education dela IE No. 00859" Francisco Tejada Rojas "aged 6 - 8 years.
