Sumario:There are few studies in Peru regarding oligohydramnios as a risk factor associated which development dysplasia of the hip (DDH), which detected in early screening, would facilitate the taking of timely measures in order to improve prognosis and reduce sequelae that this disease produces in our society. Main objective: To determine if oligohydramnios is a risk factor associated with development dysplasia of the hip in infants attended in the HRDT during the period 2005 - 2015 Material and methods: A retrospective analytical study was conducted, through the design of cases and controls, to infants born in the HRDT and attended outpatient clinics of pediatrics and who were referred to the Orthopedics and Traumatology service during the 2005-2015 period and said service were diagnosed with DDH. The sample was 150 which met the inclusion criteria, 30 cases (infants born on HRDT with DDH), 120 controls (infants born on HRDT without DDH); also to have or not the risk factor oligohydramnios. Results: It was determined that oligohydramnios were present in 30% of the cases and 12.5% of the controls with an X2 of 5.47 (p: 0.019 to affirm an association to the DDH, in a significant way). In addition to a 95% confidence interval. (1,6 - 6,76) indicating that is a risk factor. Conclusion: It was found that oligohydramnios is a risk factor associated with dysplasia dysplasia of the hip
