Sumario:The present study was conducted to study the agronomic management of Allium cepa L. Arequipeña Red variety planted in rotation with vegetables and took place at the sector Faclo Grande de Guadalupe, La Libertad. The soils in this sector are loam, moderately fertile and well drained. The main vegetable rotation was watermelon, and other vegetables like paprika peppers and tomato, where after harvested the following agronomic practices for growing onions were performed: preparation of land, preparation of seedbeds beds, planting seedlings, tillage seedbed as fertilization, irrigation, weed control and plant protection; transplant to final field work and the respective driving as fertilization, irrigation, weed control and plant protection; harvesting and curing booted. The average obtained onion production was 50 T / ha, also features the largest bulb in terms of diameter; length and weight were 4.94 cm, 4.88 cm and 70.6 g respectively. Finally for better agricultural management in Arequipa red onion crop variety should take into account the following aspects: planting time, each market offers the greatest economic expectations, the most suitable variety to be planted and the area present the best soil and climate conditions for the crop have the highest productivity.
