In this thesis, the work stages were Identification of the type of work operation of the fleet, selection of the right type of tire, verifying its status, identifying the control indicators and maintenance programming. By applying this proposal, it was possible to increase availability by 3%. It was also possible to establish indicators to ensure adequate maintenance management, reducing the operating cost and increasing tire performance. Finally, maintenance strategies and training were established for all personnel involved with the tires.

Teniendo como objetivo incrementar la disponibilidad de los tractocamiones para realizar las diversas operaciones que los clientes de la empresa requieren. En esta tesis, las etapas de trabajo fueron: Identificación del tipo de operación de trabajo de la flota, selección del tipo adecuado de neumático verificando su estado, identificar los indicadores de control y programación de mantenimientos. Al aplicar la presente propuesta se logró aumentar la disponibilidad en 3%. Asimismo, se logró establecer indicadores para asegurar una adecuada gestión de mantenimiento, reduciendo el costo de operación y aumentando el rendimiento de los neumáticos.
