Sumario: | The aim of this review is to know the trasgenic food that is genetically modified food (AGM), which are consumed in Peru and the world, in order to inform consumers that GM foods are grown before being marketed. The most relevant GM foods that have been approved in various countries for marketing are: corn, cotton, soybeans, rapeseed and sugar beets, etc. Human studies models to test the safety of GM are scarce, analyzes were not considered reliable because both the time and the number of persons were insufficient. The only long-term study was conducted by the scientific Séralini which rats and mice fed with modified NK603 for a period of two years, the results detected severe damage to kidneys, liver and pituitary corn. Hepatorenales noted problems addition, imbalance of sex hormones and premature death. In Peru, the Law 29811, which came into force in 2011 all that has been done is give us a period of 10 years in which GM seeds income of the country will not be allowed. The Peruvian Association of Consumers (ASPEC), announced that Peru GMOs are marketed as: Soya and Santa Catalina oatmeal, Quaker "Q-life" soyandina 100% soy, 100% Soy milk, spicy friends (omelettes corn) Karinto, sausage San Fernando, cornstarch bold, etc. since there is no obligation to label products containing genetically modified foods, they are freely sold in supermarkets and shops. |
