The aim of this review is to know the trasgenic food that is genetically modified food (AGM), which are consumed in Peru and the world, in order to inform consumers that GM foods are grown before being marketed. The most relevant GM foods that have been approved in various countries for marketing are: corn, cotton, soybeans, rapeseed and sugar beets, etc. Human studies models to test the safety of GM are scarce, analyzes were not considered reliable because both the time and the number of persons were insufficient.
