The research is quantitative descriptive, correlational, was intended to determine the level of job satisfaction of nurses and the quality of nursing care to the premature newborn in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Belén de Trujillo and establish the relationship between both variables. The sample universe was made up of a total of 24 nurses. Data collection was carried out with the application of two instruments: Herzbergian Labor Satisfaction and Dissatisfaction Scale and The Observation Guide to assess the quality of nursing care to premature babies. The information obtained was processed in simple and double-entry tables, showing the following results: 83% of nurses presented a medium level of job satisfaction, and 100% of them offered a good quality of care for the premature newborn. For the statistical analysis, the Pearson Correlation was applied, demonstrating that there is a significant relationship between the Level of Job Satisfaction and the Quality of Nursing Care to the premature (p = -0,589 <0.01); reaching a moderate negative correlation
