| Sumario: | In this research evaluated the influence of the volumetric ratio of sand and confitillo on physical and mechanical properties of a concrete brick for build walls with live load properties. For the preparation and characterization of this brick concrete was used Cement Pacasmayo type ICo, sand of 4.25 mm to 0.075 mm of size, confitillo of 3/8" both from the quarry “El Milagro” and drinkable water from the city of Trujillo; to the aggregates, sand and confitillo were characterized by for Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates, moisture content, organic matter content, Absorption and specific weight. The variation of the volumetric ratio, sand:confitillo was worked with 5 levels, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, with a water/cement ratio (a/c) of 1. The concrete bricks of 5 holes were obtained with dimensions 24 cm length, 13 cm width and 9 cm of height, for evaluate the compressive strength, the test was based on NTP 339.604 standard, the water absorption according to NTP 339.187 standard; also to determine the dimensional variation, the procedure followed of the standard NTP 399.604 and the standard NTP 399.613 for determine the warp. The bricks were cured for 7 days. With the investigation was got that the volume ratio 2.5 is ideal within the range of five variables (volumetric ratio), with a maximum compressive strength of 34.5 kg/cm2, a minimum of 1.63% absorption, a dimensional variation of contraction of 0.08% and a warp of 0.182 mm. The statistical calculate and the variance analysis determined that the volumetric ratio of sand: confitillo, significant influence in compressive strength, absorption, dimensional variation and warp; because the FO (OBSERVED) is larger than the F(TABULAR). |
