Los participantes fueron 169 personas entre hombre y mujeres en cuyas edades fueron entre los 20 y 60 años, a quienes se les aplicó los instrumentos: Escala TMMS – 24 de Inteligencia Emocional de Salovey y Mayer adaptado por Fernández, Extremera y Fernández (2004); y el Cuestionario de Bus y Perry versión española por Andreu, Peña y Graña (2002). Las conclusiones, indican a nivel general que existe una correlación negativa baja y altamente significativa entre la variable inteligencia emocional y el comportamiento agresivo; el mismo hallazgo también se produce entre las dimensiones del estudio.

The methodology responds to a descriptive research level of a basic correlational type. The participants were 169 people between men and women to between the ages of 20 and 60, to whom the instruments were applied: TMMS – 24 Emotional Intelligence Scale of Salovey and Mayer adapted by Fernández (2004); and the Bus and Perry Questionnare Spanish version by Andreu, Peña and Graña (2002).
