This study, through the case of Felipa and Rosa, explores how the utilization of medicinal plants has become an act of self-care, cultural preservation, and empowerment. It concludes that traditional medicine has played a pivotal role in the recovery and well-being of indigenous women. The study underscores the need to rebuild trust and foster intercultural dialogue to integrate traditional medicine into the healthcare system while respecting the autonomy and rights of indigenous women. Methodology: This qualitative study employed in-depth interviews with Felipa and Rosa, two indigenous women from Anchonga, to understand their experiences with traditional medicine during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.El COVID-19 ha dejado profundas cicatrices físicas, emocionales y sociales en comunidades vulnerables como Anchonga, Perú. Ante la desconfianza en la medicina oficial y las secuelas invisibles de la pandemia, las mujeres indígenas han recurrido a la sabiduría ancestral de la medicina tradicional. Este estudio, a través del caso de Felipa y Rosa, explora cómo el uso de plantas medicinales se ha convertido en un acto de autocuidado, preservación cultural y empoderamiento. Se concluye que la medicina tradicional ha jugado un papel crucial en la recuperación y el bienestar de las mujeres indígenas. Se resalta la necesidad de restablecer la confianza y promover el diálogo intercultural para integrar la medicina tradicional en el sistema de salud, respetando la autonomía y los derechos de las mujeres indígenas.
