description El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue la matemática es una ciencia que forma parte del desarrollo humano, desde los tiempos prehistóricos hasta la actualidad. Es importante destacar los valiosos aportes que proporciona el presente estudio para el progreso de la humanidad. La didáctica es una disciplina ligada a la educación. Esta se encarga de estudiar los diferentes principios que se aplican para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. El área de matemática no es ajena a la didáctica, puesto que requiere de los aportes de la disciplina para mejorar el proceso educativo- La didáctica específica de la matemática intenta explicar la forma de enseñanza más oportuna en los diferentes niveles educativos. Por consiguiente, los docentes deben concientizar el aumento de la complejidad académica, según el grado de los estudiantes. De acuerdo con el CNBE, el área de matemática se fundamenta por las competencias a desarrollar durante la etapa escolar. Para lograr aquello, se han implementado los procesos didácticos que favorezcan un aprendizaje más significativo.
