description La presente tesis titulada “La gestión municipal y desarrollo social en la Municipalidad del Distrito de Quilmaná, periodo 2023”, tuvo como objetivo determinar de qué manera la gestión municipal se relaciona en el desarrollo social en la Municipalidad del Distrito de Quilmaná, la cual demostró que con una adecuada gestión municipal también aumentaría la incidencia en el desarrollo social. Esta investigación fue de tipo básica, de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño no experimental y método descriptivo correlacional – transversal. El instrumento utilizado fue el cuestionario y la técnica la encuesta, siendo validados por juicio de expertos y la estimación de la confiabilidad fue a través del coeficiente alfa de Cronbach. La población estuvo conformada por 98 trabajadores de la Municipalidad de Quilmana y la muestra fue el total de la población. Los resultados obtenidos al desarrollar la presente investigación permitieron conocer a través del coeficiente Rho Spearman = 0.513 que permite afirmar que entre las variables de estudio sí existe una relación positiva.

It demonstrated that with proper municipal management, there would also be an increase in social development incidence. This research implemented a basic research type with a quantitative approach, a non- experimental design, and a descriptive-correlational cross-sectional method. The instrument used was a questionnaire, and the technique was a survey, validated by expert judgment, with reliability estimated through Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The population consisted of 98 workers from the Municipality of Quilmaná, and the sample was the entire population.
