Sumario:The main objective of the present research work was: evaluating the concentration of carbon dioxide in the appropriate atmosphere of the industrial chimney of the pilot plant FIQ-UNAP. The present investigation has quantitative focus and according to the level of deepening in the object of study it is explanatory, because provided evidence of his identity the causes and consequences of every operational process. It is also predictive, because by means of the gaussian model the concentration of air pollutants to the finger nail has been able to be forecasted to me. In the present investigation, the population is infinite, because it is the set of all the points of the atmosphere that are within the following three-dimensional space. 0≤≤2700, −45≤≤45, 0≤≤85. In order to evaluate the concentration of carbon dioxide, use of the Gaussian model of pollutant dispersion has been done and profiles (, 0, ), (, , )and (, 0, 0). The peak concentration for the profiles worked out 3.8×1011/m3and it was located in the point (1050, 0, 0). In this way he tried on his general hypothesis and in turn it came true with the realistic general. He got himself a proposal, by means of the one that it would be decreasing by means of the peak concentration in the profile (, 0, 0), from 2.0×102/m3to 1.2×102/m3.
