En el presente trabajo de tesis se ha realizado el diseño y construcción de un equipo para determinar el calor específico de néctares. Se ha hecho la aplicación de la primera ley de la termodinámica a un proceso de calentamiento a llevarse a cabo en el equipo, considerándose un sistema termodinámico el cual está compuesto por el néctar y la capa de metal que rodea al mismo, como resultado de esta aplicación se obtuvo una ecuación que relaciona el calor específico del néctar con la temperatura. El equipo está conformado por un cilindro de pared compuesta, una resistencia eléctrica, un motor eléctrico con agitador, un termómetro digital y las conexiones eléctricas (enchufe y cable vulcanizado).
