Acute appendicitis is one of the most frequent surgical emergencies in the Regional Hospital of Loreto and in Peru, several factors interact for the formation of this pathology, presenting the following symptoms, crampy abdominal pain at the level of the epigastrium that migrates to the fossa right iliac, with nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite SATNC. Blumber(+), Mcburney(+). The basis of treatment is surgical (appendectomy) timely. Complicated appendicitis, focal or generalized peritonitis, entails many complications both in the personal and institutional spheres, resulting in longer postoperative time, surgical wound infections, residual abscesses, and a high rate of mortality. We will use a prospective study to see the techniques for cleaning the peritoneum that are still debatable, the most frequent being peritoneal lavage and peritoneal drying currently in Hospital of Loreto and in Perú. Emphasizing the approach to peritonitis, by simply drying the abdominal cavity, it seems to have a lower rate of hospital readmission and death.
