Sumario: | The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the self-steem level and the learning achievement level of the Communication area in the fourth cycle students of elementary school of the IE 61014Horacio Zevallos Gámez, en Iquitos city, 2023. Materials and methods: The type of research was descriptive - correlational, with a non-experimental cross-sectional research design. The study population was made up of 123 students and the sample unit was the same. To collect data on the self esteem variable, the questionnaire, which consists of 20 items and divided into three dimensions was used and for the learning achievement level of the Communication area variable, the evaluation record were used. The instruments were previously validated by expert judgment. To determine the relationship it used the non-parametric statistical test Tau-b which applies to ordinal categorical variables. Results: 70.7% presented a high level of general self-esteem and 13.8 % achieved a level A in the learning area of communication. The result Tau-b = 0.061 with a significance p = 0.497 > 0,05%. Therefore, the null hypothesis of the investigation is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the self-steem level and the learning achievement level of the Communication area in the fourth cycle students of elementary school of the IE61014Horacio Zevallos Gámez, en Iquitos city, 2023. |
