Sumario:This research was conducted to find out the relationship between socioemotional skills (HSE) and the development of self-esteem (DDLA) in early childhood education students of the Faculty of Education Sciences and Humanities (FCEH) at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. For this reason, with respect to its objective, the relational type of research was used. And research actions were designed as field, transversal, and bivariate. 171 students of initial education constituted the population and sample, to whom questionnaires previously validated by experts were administered by means of the survey technique. As a result, the Student's t-value = 10.354; and the p-value (bilateral significance) = 0.000, show that there is a statistically significant relationship between HSE and DDLA in early education students of the FCEH at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon Iquitos in 2022. While the HSE increases, the DDLA also increases.
