Descripción
Sumario:The World Health Organization estimates that the ideal cesarean rate should be up to 15%, while in Peru the cesarean rate represents 50.2%. With an estimated 38 million procedures, it is projected that one in three children will be born by cesarean section in 2030 1. Although timely surgery can prevent maternal and neonatal deaths, underutilization of cesarean section in such cases can contribute to higher mortality and morbidity. However, cesarean delivery carries a threefold increased risk of serious adverse outcomes compared to vaginal delivery. Additionally, it has been reported that the incidence of acute postoperative pain after cesarean section was 78.4% to 92.7% in developing countries. The use of intrathecal morphine is considered the "gold standard" for pain treatment after cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia. This study aims to determine the analgesic effectiveness of intrathecal morphine 100 micrograms compared to 50 micrograms in post-cesarean patients at the Regional Hospital of Loreto in 2025 4. The methodology used will be a quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional, and prospective study
