| Sumario: | The main purpose of the research work has been to determine the level of metacognitive thinking skills in initial education students of the Faculty of Education Sciences and Humanities at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon in Iquitos during the year 2021. As a methodology Research was considered descriptive, through cross-sectional, field, and univariate design. For data collection, a survey was considered as a technique and a questionnaire as a research instrument, which was previously validated by means of expert teachers. The study population has been 200 initial education students, who were also part of the sample. As a conclusion we have that the level of metacognitive thinking skills in initial education students of the Faculty of Education Sciences and Humanities at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon; it is of high level in 7.5%, of medium level in 85.0% and of low level in 7.5% of them. |
