Sumario:The present research work seeks to improve the decision-making process in the sales department of the company through a business intelligence solution. It was developed using Ralph Kimball's methodology. The study aims to address the following research question: How will a business intelligence solution improve the decision-making process in the sales department of the company "Inversiones Díaz E.I.R.L."? The general objective was to enhance the decision-making process within the sales department of the company through the business intelligence solution. The specific objectives were: 1. Evaluate the time required to generate daily reports. 2. Evaluate the time required to generate management indicator reports. 3. Assess the user satisfaction level with the use of the Business Intelligence solution. The research was pre-experimental in nature with a quantitative approach, employing a pretest-posttest design with a single group. The results obtained were as follows: a reduction of 5.048 minutes (60.73%) in the time taken to generate sales reports, a reduction of 8.75 minutes (80.45%) in the time taken to create sales indicators, and an increase in report responsiveness by 0.75 points (26%) with the use of the application. The solution provided users with the visualization of tables, graphs, and reports. In conclusion, the implementation of a BI application improved the decision-making process in the sales department of the company Inversiones Díaz E.I.R.L.
