The general purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between social responsibility and institutional image of the Provincial Municipality of Maynas – Iquitos 2022, the research was applied type, the design corresponded to the non-experimental, correlational descriptive level. A sample of 384 villagers, who were the main informants, was taken, a survey and questionnaire were used as a technique and instrument for data collection. Among the results, it was identified that the variable social responsibility 27% of respondents qualify it as regular, since they indicate that they have never received information concerning municipal revenues and expenditures, while the planning of investments to mitigate the environmental impact by the municipal government is also carried out intermittently. Regarding the institutional image variable, it is perceived as regular by 27%, and sometimes citizen participation is promoted through events, environmental sustainability is encouraged and healthy practices are carried out. Finally, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between social responsibility and institutional image, this was corroborated with a correlation index of 0.810 being significant at 0.000. Likewise, the dimensions of social responsibility as potential (r = 0.592; sig. 0.000), development (r = 0.614; sig. 0.000), transparency (r = 0.629; sig. 0.000) and environment (r = 0.655; sig. 0.000) have a significant relationship with the institutional image of the Provincial Municipality of Maynas – Iquitos 2022.
