Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this research was to explain the influence of stress on fourth grade high school students’ reading comprehension skills at public schools of San Juan Bautista 2022. It was of an explanatory type, with a field study, contemporary transectional, multivariate designs. The population consisted of 1,938 students, with a sample of 321 students selected by stratified probabilistic sampling with proportional allocation, and referential populations of 221 parents and 16 teachers. The data collection tools were a valid and reliable reading comprehension test and a stress questionnaire. The results show that the Rho of stress and reading skills was 0.367 (Parents 0.395 and teachers 0.009) were greater than α = 0.05, for the physical symptom 0.302 (Parents 0.395 and teachers 0.189), for the psychological symptom 0.334 (Parents 0.120 and teachers 0.121) and for the behavioral symptom 0.323 (Parents 0.437 and teachers 0.028), when p-value was less than α = 0.05, a linear regression analysis was carried out to find out any possible influence. In conclusion, there is no evidence of influence of stress or any symptom on reading skills in students of the study population.
