| Sumario: | The research focused on the relevance of basic services, such as electricity, drinking water and drainage, on the global agenda and in Peru's public policies. Universal coverage of these services is considered crucial to reduce poverty and improve human development, aligning with the United Nations sustainable development goals. This study, of a quantitative type, causal level and non-experimental design with longitudinal data, included as the study population the quarterly records on the public budget in energy and sanitation, and housing characteristics in the Loreto region during the period 2012-2021. The methodology used included a multiple regression model using the ordinary least squares method. The findings revealed that a 1% increase in the amount accrued from public spending on sanitation translates into a 0.0219% increase in the level of access to integrated electricity, water and drainage service after six months. Otherwise, no significant effect was identified between public spending on sanitation and the level of regional access to the integrated electricity, water and drainage service. |
