| Sumario: | This Investigation was carried out in the city of Yurimaguas with the objective of evaluating the use of three diets with different protein content on the performance of broiler chickens in the finishing stage. The following parameters were evaluated: feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, mortality and economic merit of 96 21-day-old broiler chickens from the Cobb line, using the Completely Random Statistical Design with three (3) treatments and four (4) repetitions, and with a confidence level of 95%, with the following treatments: T0: 18%; T1: 19% and T2: 20% protein. Obtaining the following results: the highest food consumption was observed in T2 with 1109.36 g, unlike T1 who achieved 1094.10 g and T0 with 1084.50 g, this result being statistically significant in the treatment groups (P < 0.05). In the weight increase, T2 obtained the highest gain with 1,925 g, followed by T1 with 1,902 g and T0 with 1,892 g, finding a statistically significant difference in the treatments (P < 0.05). For food conversions, the averages were: 0.575; 0.563 and 0.573 for T0, T1 and T2 respectively, showing no statistical difference in the treatments (P<0.05). No deaths were recorded during the study. The best economic profit was achieved in T2 with S/ 5.46, which indicates better profitability. |
