Sumario:The objective of this study was to explain the influence of affective factors in fifth year students’ English writing skills at public secondary schools in Iquitos district 2021. This research was of explanatory type with field study, contemporary transectional, and multivariate designs. The study population consisted of 2,332 students and a stratified sample with proportional affixation of 333. Results show that the mean score of students’ writing in English was 9.52 out of 20, which is at a starter level. Results in the affective factors show that the mean score was 68.54 out of 100. Spearman’s non-parametric Rho test show that there is no correlation between study variables, although the correlation is positive (r= 0.040) the p-value = 0.63 > α = 0.05. In conclusion, since no correlation was evident, there was no need to analyze the binary logistic regression to prove influence, rejecting the working hypothesis.
