Sumario:The objective of this research was to evaluate the impact of the Iquitos Nauta highway on the diversity and vertical distribution of amphibians and reptiles within the Allpahuayo Mishana National Reserve km 28; during the months of September and October 2019. The Crump methodology was applied, recording through visual encounters and linear transects of 200 m in length, the records were obtained from six sectors located at 0, 200, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 m. from the road inwards. 34 species of amphibians were recorded, distributed in 9 families, with Hylidae being the one with the greatest richness and the species Osteocephalus deridens being the most abundant with 0.67 ind/man-hour. In reptiles, 22 species were recorded distributed in 9 families, Dactyloidae, Colubridae and Gymnophtalmidae were the ones with the greatest richness above 500 m. The species with the highest abundance index was Stenocercus fimbriatus with 0.17 ind/man-hour. The vertical distribution of amphibians and reptiles was most frequently recorded at ground level. The diversity of amphibians in the sampling sectors registered a positive correlation and there is no significant difference between the evaluated variables; The opposite happened with the diversity of reptiles showing a negative correlation where there is a significant difference between the edge of the road and the interior of the forest. The perch height of amphibians and reptiles has a negative relationship; as we move away from the road it is difficult to find species at the medium and high level.
