Descripción
Sumario:Objectives: To determine the prevalence of ocular manifestations in patients with HIV at the Regional Hospital of Loreto during the year 2021. Method: Non-experimental cross-sectional study. It is non-experimental because it does not allow the deliberate manipulation of variables and in which only phenomena are observed in their natural environment to later analyze them, and it is transversal because the data will be collected in a determined time. A total of 147 patients were enrolled in the study, who were hospitalized in 2021 with a diagnosis of HIV. Results: An association analysis will be carried out between the dependent variables that will indicate the type of ocular manifestations, and the independent variables that will be related to the DC4 count. This association will be evaluated using the chi square test, considering a statistically significant association for p values. Conclusions: With this study, it is expected to identify the prevalence of ocular manifestations associated with patients diagnosed with HIV who are hospitalized in the study hospital, in 2021 in Loreto, Perú.
