Descripción
Sumario:The COVID 19 pandemic caused the commercial promotion activities of the Eastern Macro Region to be carried out virtually during the year 2020. This doctoral thesis executes a study to determine the effect of the COVID 19 pandemic on the activities of commercial promotion of exporting companies in the eastern macro region in the 2020 period. For this purpose, this Quantitative type, Descriptive level and Non-Experimental design research was carried out. The investigation concludes that the number of commercial promotion activities during the year 2020, was reduced by -5.88% compared to the average of the period 2016 - 2020, a percentage that is not significant. However, the amounts traded in 2020 decreased considerably by -71.43% compared to the average of the last four years, as a result of the closure of the economy due to the COVID 19 pandemic and the virtualization of activities. The region with the highest amount negotiated in commercial promotion activities during the same period was San Martín with US$3,196,000.00; value that represents 45.46% of the total. Likewise, the analysis of the productive sector that generated the largest negotiated amounts was Agro and Agroindustry, reaching US$ 5,310,000.00; figure that means 75.53% of the total. The products of the aforementioned sector with the greatest demand abroad are coffee and cocoa, produced mainly by San Martín and Amazonas.
