Sumario:This research work to determine the level of influence of public spending on the achievement of learning in text comprehension and mathematics in 2nd grade high school students of regular basic education in Loreto. To this end, a quantitative type research, explanatory level and non-experimental design with longitudinal data was formulated and executed, which considered as study population the statistical records on 2nd grade high school students enrolled in institutions belonging to Loreto during the period 2015-2019. Based on the regression model at the 90% confidence level, it was determined that a 10% increase in public spending on high school education generates a 0.185% reduction in the level of achievement of satisfactory learning in text comprehension. Likewise, the growth of 10% in public spending on high school education produces an increase of 0.108% in the level of achievement of satisfactory learning in mathematics.
