El estudio tuvo por objetivo determinar la digestibilidad aparente de la materia seca, proteína cruda, extracto etéreo, energía bruta y la energía digestible de la torta de soya (Glycine max) para paiche (Arapaima gigas) mediante la determinación del coeficiente de digestibilidad aparente (CDA) usando el método indirecto. Se utilizaron 12 juveniles de paiche, con un peso inicial de 279.22 ± 37.25 g y una talla de 33.48 ± 1.24 cm, distribuidos en seis acuarios de digestibilidad tipo Guelph, con dos peces cada uno. La duración de la fase experimental fue de 30 días, entre Noviembre y Diciembre del 2016, durante el cual se realizó colecciones diarias de heces. El coeficiente de digestibilidad aparente obtenido en base seca para la torta de soya en juveniles de paiche (Arapaima gigas) fue 61.40 ± 4.87 por ciento para materia seca, 80.97 ± 2.44 por ciento para proteína cruda, 93.76 ± 1.53 por ciento para extracto etéreo y 71.31 ± 3.34 por ciento para la energía bruta. La energía digestible (ED) de la torta de soya en paiche fue 3.37 Mcal/Kg en base seca y 3.02 Mcal/Kg en tal como ofrecido (89.60 por ciento de materia seca).The research was conducted at the premises of the Laboratory for Research in Nutrition and Feeding of Fish and Shellfish (LINAPC) of the Academic Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Animal Science at the University Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), the preparation of the food was in the Balanced Food plant of the Faculty of Zootechnics of the UNALM. The study aimed to determine the apparent digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, ethereal extract, raw energy and digestible energy of soybean cake (Glycine max) for paiche (Arapaima gigas) by determining the apparent digestibility coefficient ( CDA) using the indirect method. 12 juveniles of paiche were used, with an initial weight of 279.22 ± 37.25 g and a size of 33.48 ± 1.24 cm, distributed in six Guelph digestibility aquariums, with two fish each. The duration of the experimental phase was 30 days, between November and December 2016, during which daily stool collections were made. The apparent digestibility coefficient obtained on a dry basis for the soybean cake in paiche juveniles (Arapaima gigas) was 61.40 ± 4.87 percent for dry matter, 80.97 ± 2.44 percent for raw protein, 93.76 ± 1.53 percent for ethereal extract and 71.31 ± 3.34 percent for gross energy.
