Departamento Académico de Gestión EmpresarialLa presente investigación tiene como objetivo general evaluar los resultados de la implementación de un sistema de Gestión de Riesgo Crediticio, en el marco de la regulación del sistema cooperativo implementado por la Superintendencia de Banca y Seguros, como herramienta para mitigar el riesgo de la cartera de crédito de CENTROCOOP en el período 2019-2020. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva y explicativa, por cuanto describe y analiza la capacidad de implementar una metodología de gestión de riesgo crediticio en una cooperativa de ahorro y crédito tradicional. Asimismo se decriben y analizan con herrramientas estadísticas las variables en estudio: cartera de créditos, índice de morosidad, provisiones y créditos nuevos otorgados. Asimismo se explica la incidencia de la implementación de un sistema de gestión de riesgo crediticio en dichas variables. El resultado general es que implementar un proceso de gestión de riesgos tiene un efecto positivo en la mitigación del riesgo crediticio, ralentiza el crecimiento de la cartera y obliga a incorporar el cálculo del costo de provisión en los resultados financieros lo cual hace inviable a la agencia Ate si es que no se toman medidas correctivas. Asimismo, se observó que desde el 2019 inició una serie de actividades, procedimientos y una estructura necesaria para la cobranza y recuperación de créditos pero este tambien es el año de la pandemia del COVID-19 por lo que las actividades quedaron postergadas y la coyuntura económica obligó a las instituciones financieras a reprogramar y refinanciar créditos. Por ello se concluye que la Cooperativa deberá continuar y mejorar el el proceso de implementación de un sistema de gestión de riesgo en todas sus agencias ya que es necesario asegurar la sostenibilidad a largo plazo de la cooperativa CENTROCOOP, debido a que uno de los requerimientos básicos de la regulación es la estimación del costo de provisiones, mismo que anteriormente no era considerado como parte de la estructura de costos de la institución.The general objective of this research is to evaluate the results of the implementation of a Credit Risk Management system, within the framework of the regulation of the cooperative system implemented by the Superintendence of Banking and Insurance, as a tool to mitigate the risk of the loan portfolio. CENTROCOOP credit in the 2019-2020 period. The research is descriptive and explanatory, since it describes and analyzes the ability to implement a credit risk management methodology in a traditional savings and credit cooperative. Likewise, the variables under study are described and analyzed with statistical tools: loan portfolio, delinquency rate, provisions and new loans granted. Likewise, the impact of the implementation of a credit risk management system on these variables is explained. The general result is that implementing a risk management process has a positive effect in mitigating credit risk, slows down the growth of the portfolio and forces the calculation of the cost of provision in the financial results to be included, which makes the Ate agency unfeasible. if corrective action is not taken. Likewise, it was observed that since 2019 a series of activities, procedures and a necessary structure for the collection and recovery of credits began, but this is also the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, so the activities were postponed and the economic situation forced financial institutions to reschedule and refinance loans.
