Además, es capaz de fijar nitrógeno simbióticamente. En su manejo de fertilización la utilización de enmiendas orgánicas es una alternativa para mejorar la fertilidad del suelo, evitar problemas ambientales por el uso excesivo de fertilizantes minerales y los escases de recursos. Por este motivo, en la presente investigación se evaluó la calidad, rendimiento, concentración de nitrógeno en la vaina y adicionalmente el pH y C.E. del suelo después de la aplicación de las diferentes enmiendas orgánicas de biochar y compost en el cultivo de vainita (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cv. Cosmos. El experimento se realizó en La Molina-Lima en el año 2018. El suelo es un Franco Arcilloso Arenoso, con pH de 7.81 y una C.E. de 1.93 dS m-1. El experimento consistió en un testigo y tratamientos con biochar (0.5 Mg ha-1 ), compost (5 Mg ha-1 ) y biochar más compost (0.25 + 2.5 Mg ha-1 ). Con la instalación de un Diseño de Bloques Completos al Azar (DBCA). En los resultados la aplicación de biochar y compost no presentó diferencias estadísticas en el rendimiento, obteniéndose 4.6, 4.7, 4.5 y 3.7 Mg ha-1 en los tratamientos de testigo, biochar, compost y biochar más compost, respectivamente. En la calidad de la vainita resultó un valor promedio de 12.7 y 0.85 cm de largo y diámetro de la vaina. En la concentración de nitrógeno en la vaina resultó 42.91, 40.18, 38.99 y 42.63 g kg-1 en los tratamientos de testigo, biochar, compost y biochar más compost, respectivamente. No presentó diferencias estadísticas. En la evaluación del suelo a los 97 DDS la C.E. y pH no mostraron diferencias significativas en respuesta a los tratamientos de testigo, biochar, compost y biochar más compost. Sin embargo, presenta un incremento del 3.2% en el pH y 13 % en la C.E. del suelo del tratamiento biochar más compost con respecto al testigo.The vainita is a food with a high nutritional value and important for human consumption. The experiment consisted of a control and treatments with biochar (0.5 Mg ha-1 ), compost (5 Mg ha-1 ) and biochar plus compost (0.25 + 2.5 Mg ha-1 ). With the installation of a Completely Random Block Design (DBCA). In the results, the application of biochar and compost did not present statistical differences in yield, obtaining 4.6, 4.7, 4.5 and 3.7 Mg ha-1 in the control treatments, biochar, compost and biochar plus compost, respectively.
