Departamento Académico de Ordenamiento Territorial y ConstrucciónCon el propósito de proponer soluciones en las áreas que no cuentan con un servicio de desagüe y que no gestionan adecuadamente el tratamiento de sus aguas residuales, se construyó un prototipo de tratamiento dentro del Centro Modelo de Tratamiento de Residuos (CEMTRAR), ubicado en las instalaciones de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. El prototipo está compuesto por un tanque séptico (tratamiento primario) y un humedal artificial de flujo horizontal subsuperficial (tratamiento secundario). Los fondos económicos fueron proporcionados por el Servicio Nacional de Capacitación para la Industria de la Construcción (SENCICO), y el propósito fue evaluar los parámetros de operación real de este sistema integrado. En el humedal horizontal se sembró la planta ornamental comúnmente llamada alcatraz o cala, siendo su nombre científico Zantedeschia aethiopica, la cual se desarrolló adecuadamente dentro del humedal; luego de 4 meses de adaptación se realizó el monitoreo del sistema. Las muestras se tomaron durante 6 semanas, los puntos de muestreo fueron el agua residual cruda, salida del tratamiento primario y efluente del sistema. El caudal de entrada fue de 2.7 m3 /día, obteniendo remociones de Turbiedad (89.5%), DBO 5 (85%), DQO (81%), Fosfato (36%), Sólidos Suspendidos Totales (97.5%) y Coliformes Totales (99.97%); también concentraciones de Nitrato (4.9 mg/l), a la salida del sistema.In order to propose solutions in areas that do not have sewer service and that do not properlymanage the treatment of their wastewater, a prototype treatment was built within the ModelWaste Treatment Center (CEMTRAR), located on the premises of the National Agrarian University La Molina. The prototype is composed of a septic tank (primary treatment) and an artificial subsurface horizontal flow wetland (secondary treatment). The economic fundswere provided by the National Training Service for the Construction Industry (SENCICO),and the purpose was to evaluate the actual operating parameters of this integrated system. In the horizontal wetland the ornamental plant commonly called alcatraz or cala was planted,being its scientific name Zantedeschia aethiopica, which developed properly inside thewetland; after 4 months of adaptation system monitoring was performed.
