La estandarización en la producción de flores y plantas es esencial para satisfacer la demanda de grandes cadenas como Homecenter, requiriendo procesos y productos uniformes. Es de suma importancia en la cadena comercial que los viveristas sean capaces de ofrecer planes de entrega, cumplir con los requisitos de calidad y cantidad en un mercado cada vez más competitivo. Lo anterior indicado ha llevado a que los productores de flores y plantas ornamentales deban tener una mentalidad más enfocada en la gestión empresarial para adaptarse a las exigencias del mercado. Las tiendas de retail en Perú están enfocándose en mejorar los ambientes y viveros de tránsito dentro de sus instalaciones para ofrecer una experiencia de compra satisfactoria para el cliente final. Además, la segmentación de productos por tipo de jardín o ambiente, junto con la inclusión de asistencia técnica y capacitación, muestra un compromiso por parte de las tiendas de mejorar la experiencia del cliente y ayudarlos a obtener los mejores resultados con las plantas. Uno de los formatos pioneros en Perú son los homecenter, que empezaron a funcionar desde el 5 de junio de 1978, bajo el recordado nombre de Ace Perú. Después llamado Maestro. En el presente trabajo de suficiencia profesional se detallan, analizan y se plantean oportunidades de mejora sobre las estrategias de adquisición, distribución y venta de plantas ornamentales en las tiendas Maestro basados en experiencias propias. Es importante comentar que estas estrategias contribuyeron al éxito y crecimiento de la cadena de tiendas adquirida posteriormente por el Grupo Falabella en el año 2010.In the ornamental plant sector in home improvement stores, constant evolution requires staying up to date with trends to stand out from the competition. Standardization in the production of flowers and plants is essential to satisfy the demand of large chains such as Homecenter, requiring uniform processes and products. It is of utmost importance in the commercial chain that nurserymen are able to offer delivery plans, meet quality and quantity requirements in an increasingly competitive market. The above has led producers of flowers and ornamental plants to have a mentality more focused on business management to adapt to market demands. Retail stores in Peru are focusing on improving the environments and transit nurseries within their facilities to offer a satisfactory shopping experience for the end customer. Additionally, segmenting products by garden type or environment, along with the inclusion of technical assistance and training, shows a commitment by stores to improving the customer experience and helping them get the best results from their plants. One of the pioneer formats in Peru are the homecenters, which began operating on June 5, 1978, under the memorable name of Ace Perú. Later called Master. In this professional proficiency work, opportunities for improvement are detailed, analyzed and proposed regarding the acquisition, distribution and sale strategies of ornamental plants in Maestro stores based on own experiences.
