Maestría en NutriciónSe efectuó una evaluación comparativa del efecto del lactosuero incluido en el agua de bebida en diferentes proporciones, sobre el comportamiento productivo y salud intestinal en pollos broilers durante las etapas de inicio (1-21 días de edad) y crecimiento (21 -42 días de edad). Se utilizaron 495 pollos machos y hembras Cobb 500 de un día de edad, distribuidos al azar en cinco tratamientos y tres repeticiones de 33 broilers cada uno. Los tratamientos fueron: T1 APC Bacitracina de Zinc (0.5 kg/TM de limento), T2 con 30 % de lactosuero, T3 con 40 % de lactosuero, T4 con 50 % de lactosuero incluidos en el agua de bebida y T5 Ácido orgánico comercial (2 kg/TM de alimento). Se obtuvieron muestras semanales de molleja, hígado, páncreas, duodeno, yeyuno, íleon y ciegos de seis aves por tratamiento, para determinaciones alométricas, histomorfométricas, de pH y microbiológicas. No hubo diferencias estadísticas (P>0.05) en peso, consumo de alimento, consumo de agua ni conversión alimenticia entre grupos experimentales. Tampoco se encontraron diferencias en la alometría de órganos digestivos, expresados en función del peso vivo. La histomorfometría de vellosidades mostró modificaciones estructurales en longitud, profundidad de criptas y diámetro en función del tiempo a favor de los tratamientos con lactosureo y ácidos orgánicos, como signos de promotores de crecimiento corporal. Solo en el pH de la digesta de los ciegos se encontraron diferencias entre tratamientos y entre las dos etapas de crianza evaluadas, resultado de ácidos orgánicos generados por la fermentación enterobacteriana de la lactosa, propiciando un efecto positivo para la proliferación de una microbiota benéfica (Lactobacillus y Bifidobacterias) en pro de una buena salud intestinal. Los mejores beneficios económicos se reportaron en los tratamientos que incluían suero de leche en el agua de bebida.
