description Objetivo: realizar una revisión sistemática de revistas científicas sobre síndrome de burnout y desempeño laboral en personal de salud. Método: se exploraron 10 publicaciones científicas recientes relacionadas con el síndrome de burnout y el rendimiento laboral en el personal sanitario, desde una perspectiva cualitativa con un diseño metodológico correspondiente a una investigación no experimental, descriptiva. Se usó como instrumento plantillas de extracción de datos y la técnica fue estrategia de búsqueda. Resultados: las investigaciones examinadas demuestran que la pandemia de SARS-CoV-2 afectó de manera considerable la calidad de vida de los profesionales sanitarios, incrementando los problemas de salud mental y el exceso de trabajo. Conclusión: en el sector salud, el síndrome de Burnout se manifiesta a través de tres dimensiones principales: agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y una disminución en la percepción de eficacia profesional, resultado de la exposición prolongada al estrés laboral.

Conclusión: en el sector salud, el síndrome de Burnout se manifiesta a través de tres dimensiones principales: agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y una disminución en la percepción de eficacia profesional, resultado de la exposición prolongada al estrés laboral.Objective: to conduct a systematic review of scientific journals on burnout syndrome and job performance in healthcare personnel. Method: ten recent scientific publications related to burnout syndrome and job performance in healthcare personnel were explored from a qualitative perspective, using a methodological design corresponding to a nonexperimental, descriptive study. Results: the research reviewed shows that the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic significantly affected the quality of life of healthcare professionals, increasing mental health problems and overwork. The connection between Burnout Syndrome (BS) and job satisfaction is corroborated, in addition to the relevance of resilience in mitigating its impacts.
