Sin embargo, a pesar de su utilización tradicional en la medicina andina para tratar afecciones gástricas y urinarias, así como para aliviar el dolor, su potencial farmacológico no ha sido explorado completamente en investigaciones científicas rigurosas. La ausencia de estudios detallados limita su inclusión en tratamientos formales y su valorización en la industria farmacéutica, a pesar de ser una fuente rica en compuestos bioactivos como polifenoles, flavonoides y aceites esenciales. Este problema resalta la necesidad de investigar sistemáticamente los beneficios de T. multiflora, no solo para validar su uso tradicional, sino también para ampliar el arsenal de terapias naturales que puedan enfrentar desafíos de salud como enfermedades crónicas, infecciones resistentes y desórdenes neurodegenerativos .

In this context, Tagetes multiflora, belonging to the Asteraceae family, has emerged as a species of interest for its multiple therapeutic properties. However, despite its traditional use in Andean medicine to treat gastric and urinary conditions, as well as to relieve pain, its pharmacological potential has not been fully explored in rigorous scientific research. The absence of detailed studies limits its inclusion in formal treatments and its valorization in the pharmaceutical industry, despite being a rich source of bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids and essential oils.
