Los niveles de Plomo y Cadmio se determinaron mediante Espectrofotometría de Absorción Atómica con Horno de Grafito en el laboratorio CICOTOX de la UNMSM. Resultados: el análisis reveló que el contenido promedio de Plomo fue < 0.005 mg/kg, mientras que el promedio de Cadmio fue < 0.0314 mg/kg. Ambas concentraciones se encuentran por debajo de los valores máximos permitidos por la normativa de la Unión Europea y el Reglamento Técnico de MERCOSUR (0.05 mg/kg). Conclusiones: los jugos de naranja comercializados de forma ambulatoria en el Mercado 10 de Canto Grande contienen niveles de Plomo y Cadmio dentro de los rangos aceptados por estándares internacionales. Estos resultados indican que las concentraciones detectadas no representan un riesgo significativo para la salud según las normativas vigentes.

Materials and methods: this study of quantitative approach and cross-sectional design analyzed sixteen samples of orange juice. Lead and Cadmium levels were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry with Graphite Furnace at the CICOTOX laboratory of the UNMSM. Results: the analysis revealed that the average Lead content was < 0.005 mg/kg, while the average Cadmium content was < 0.0314 mg/kg. Both concentrations are below the maximum values allowed by European Union regulations and MERCOSUR Technical Regulations (0.05 mg/kg). Conclusions: orange juices marketed on an ambulatory basis in Canto Grande Market 10 contain levels of Lead and Cadmium within the ranges accepted by international standards.
