description Objetivo: determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas sobre la prevención de anemia en madres de niños menores de 5 años que acuden al Centro de Salud Gustavo Lanatta Lujan, 2024. Materiales y métodos: enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional, la muestra se conformó por 49 madres de menores de 5 años del C.S. Gustavo Lanatta Lujan, 2024. La muestra fue censal, no probabilística por conveniencia. El instrumento para evaluar el conocimiento fue un cuestionario en 3 dimensiones, y un cuestionario para evaluar prácticas preventivas en 3 dimensiones; ambos válidos. Resultados: El nivel de conocimiento sobre anemia en las madres participantes es en su mayoría de nivel bueno (57,14%), seguido de un nivel regular (32,65%) y deficiente (10,20%). Las prácticas sobre prevención de la anemia en las madres participantes son en su mayoría buenas (30,61%) seguido de prácticas excelentes (30,61%), riesgosas (18,37), deficientes (12,24%) y críticas (8,16%). A través de la prueba del chi cuadrado se encontró un nivel de significancia menor a 0.05 (p=0,002). Conclusiones: existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas sobre prevención de anemia en madres de niños menores de 5 años que acuden al C.S. Gustavo Lanatta, 2024.

Materials and methods: quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional design and correlational, the sample was made up of 49 mothers of children under 5 years of age from the C.S. Gustavo Lanatta Lujan, 2024. The sample was census, not probabilistic for convenience. The instrument to evaluate knowledge was a 3-dimensional questionnaire, and a questionnaire to evaluate preventive practices in 3 dimensions; both valid. Results: The level of knowledge about anemia in the participating mothers is mostly good (57.14%), followed by a regular level (32.65%) and poor level (10.20%). The practices on anemia prevention in the participating mothers are mostly good (30.61%) followed by excellent (30.61%), risky (18.37), poor (12.24%) and critical practices ( 8.16%). Through the chi square test, a significance level of less than 0.05 was found (p=0.002). Conclusions: there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge and practices on anemia prevention in mothers of children under 5 years of age who attend the C.S.
