La finalidad primordial fue crear una propuesta de intervención con un enfoque cognitivo-conductual, con el propósito de disminuir estas conductas a través del fortalecimiento de la autorregulación emocional, el fomento de las competencias sociales y la participación activa de los cuidadores. La investigación se llevó a cabo utilizando un enfoque cualitativo y un diseño descriptivo, que se fundamentó en el examen minucioso de un caso particular. La valoración clínica y psicométrica mostró un perfil cognitivo irregular, caracterizado por habilidades en el razonamiento perceptivo y restricciones en la comprensión verbal, así como problemas en las áreas de comportamiento, lenguaje y adaptación. Estos resultados apoyaron el diagnóstico de TND (trastorno negativista desafiante), conforme a lo establecido en la CIE-11 y el DSM-5. Por lo tanto, se desarrolló un programa de intervención de 12 sesiones basado en técnicas validadas. Se espera que el funcionamiento emocional, social y conductual del niño mejore, lo cual brindará contribuciones significativas para futuras intervenciones clínicas en situaciones parecidas.

The primary objective was to develop an intervention proposal with a cognitive-behavioral approach, seeking to reduce these behaviors by strengthening emotional self-regulation, fostering social skills, and actively involving caregivers. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and a descriptive design, based on a thorough examination of a particular case. The clinical and psychometric evaluation revealed an irregular cognitive profile, characterized by perceptual thinking skills and restrictions in verbal comprehension, as well as problems in the areas of behavior, language, and adaptation. These results support the diagnosis of ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), as established by the ICD-11 and the DSM-5. Therefore, a 12-session intervention program based on validated techniques was developed.
