Resultado: se evidenció un uso irresponsable de los fármacos, principalmente los antibióticos, entre los principales factores contribuyentes se destaca la falta de conocimiento por parte del personal de farmacia, la automedicación y la falta de adherencia al tratamiento. Conclusión: el uso inapropiado de antibióticos en farmacias comunitarias representa un serio peligro para la salud pública, ya que contribuye significativamente a la resistencia antimicrobiana. Factores como la automedicación y la falta de control en la dispensación sin receta facilitan el acceso no regulado a estos medicamentos, fomentando su uso irresponsable.

Method: the analysis of the results was carried out from the qualitative synthesis and thematic analysis of the ten articles found. Result: an irresponsible use of drugs, mainly antibiotics, was evidenced. Among the main contributing factors, the lack of knowledge on the part of pharmacy staff, self-medication and lack of adherence to treatment stand out. Conclusion: the inappropriate use of antibiotics in community pharmacies represents a serious danger to public health, since it contributes significantly to antimicrobial resistance.
