Resultados: entre los hallazgos se obtuvieron halos de inhibición de 13,35+0,52mm para la concentración al 50%, de 14,41+0,34mm para el extracto al 75% y de 15,28+0,45mm para el extracto al 100%, con respecto al control negativo el halo de inhibición promedio fue 6,01+0,39mm y el control positivo 14,41+0,34mm 26,97+0,32mm; este último resultó presentar mayor actividad antibacteriana que el extracto de la planta mediante el análisis estadístico y la escala de Duraffourd. Conclusión: el extracto etanólico de las hojas de Crescentia cujete L. frente a Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, presenta actividad antibacteriana a las concentraciones del estudio al 50%, 75% y 100%.
